I haven't seen the whole epi yet but know what I loved about what I saw?

Brace yourself. I thought it was okay. Being that I have never watched a single episode of Alias, I think 'okay' is pretty good for someone that didn't know who anyone was. One major suggestion from me would be ..someone PLEASE get Jen an accent couch STAT! I had to stop myself from changing the channel in the first 5-minutes with that whole stupid swedish (?) chickie thing at the beginning. ::shudder:: Other than that, yeah, not as sucky as I expected. (Which is a good thing) Thanks for convincing me to watch, Heewig.

TVJ!! I'm so glad you liked it. I was thinking about you as I was watching the episode, because I wasn't sure it was good enough to grab a new viewer.

I agree with you about the accent couch (hee) though. Vaughn's accents are equally bad as well.

Yeah, I agree about the accents, but then I think "well, they're *supposed* to be Americans playing Russians/Swedes/whatevers, so it's OK." It's not like we're supposed to think they really are that nationality, just the baddies are supposed to think that. Oh, I don't know. Rambling here.

I wondered about it grabbing new viewers, too. Because the whole time I watched, I'd just get excited about all my peeps being on screen again together (plus distracted by the fabulousness of Jen's hair!). I think that this episode was kind of a setting up of the whole season, so there were a lot of things to cover. I didn't hate last season like a lot of people, but it definitely wasn't my favorite. Vaughn said it himself though, "Last year sucked!" Hee.

Yeah, but if you're going to do an accent, and your life is at stake because you're trying to convince the bad guys you're somebody you're not, you better hope your accent is pretty freaking good.

I totally didn't think of it like that, but that is hilarious! I was also glad to see everyone back together, but poor Weiss. They can't leave him hanging like that. (And 38 surprised me, too.) Re: Sark, it looks like he is scheduled to be in a couple of eps, at least.)
