ouch

i fell down the stairs at work today and ended up fracturing my left elbow and right pinky, and severely spraining my right wrist. i also have an enormous bruise/contusion on my left knee and i smacked the left side of my skull on the hardwood floor. but my right leg is just fine!

i'm in a soft cast right now, but on either friday or monday i'll be getting a full-arm cast, which i will be wearing for three months.

so i'm probably going to be a lot less prolific for quite awhile.

I'm sorry about your multiple injuries. Hopefully the pain part will be over very soon, at least.

So which arm is the cast on? The sprained wrist, or the fractured elbow?

And owwwwwwwww. I am so sorry to hear that. Take care of yerself! You need to get that software that types what you say. :)

I'm going to give you a 20% warning for not using caps. And, please, get better soon. On the up side? Work Comp will pay the bills, right? :)

Hee! TVJ cracks me up!

My poor Heewig...I hope you start feeling better soon. You have the WORST luck. Have your ribs even healed from your last fall?? My goodness.

I love you! Take care of yourself! Don't do anything that could put you in harm's way...like, uh, walking. *mwah*

Ow! That stinks. I hope you get a reasonable amount of time to lie around watching bad tv and elevating all of your injured parts. Of course, it sounds like that would require you balancing delicately on one leg like Daniel LaRusso doing the crane, so maybe just lie down instead.

Check out this e-card my dad sent me. He laughs in the face of my adversity. Of course, he also drove an hour one way this afternoon just to loosen the ACE bandage on my left arm, which was beginning to cut off the circulation to my fingers.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I'm not in too much pain right now (thank you, Percoset!), and if I'm lucky, tomorrow morning I'll have the necessary referral from workers' comp to get my left arm casted.

Just wanted to give you a big "get well" wish and hug, Heewig! We'll miss you!

HA! Your dad is funny! Hope you're feeling better every day.

Eeep! Feel better soon, and be careful. My once-fractured left elbow is twinging in sympathy. Take care of yourself!
