Gymboree

Damn, jog-walking outdoors on sidewalks is going to kill my knees. I did 3 miles today (1.5 miles each in the morning and evening) and I can already feel it.

I'm considering dropping my membership at the gym. Mainly because it's $40/month, and although I go on average four times per week, that price seems a little steep.

I used some Christmas money to buy the TransFIRMer system this afternoon at Target after reading raves about it on various message boards. If it works well enough for me, I think I'll drop my gym membership after the mini-triathlon in April. Or sooner, if I decide that daily access to a pool isn't that important for training purposes.

Put it this way, I could take the money I'm spending on gym membership and put it towards buying a bike, which I need to do anyway.

More experimentation with infrared photography can be found on Foecus.

Welcome to The Firm! *cults* You will love it! I have the Transfirmer too. The workouts are DAMN HARD.

Teeeeeeeeeeeem, you can be my Firm guru (or something). The women who talk about it on the WW message boards are a little, shall we say, obsessed with it. They keep talking about the "best" of the workouts to have, and it confuses me. You'll have to let me know which ones you like most.

DAMN HARD, eh? I'm going to do the cardio one tonight, so we shall see.

Jules --

Don't get discouraged - you're just hitting the "first" wall. It's the easiest one to quit at (work, tiredness, what-am-I-doing-with-my-life, how-much-wood-and-the-woodchuck?, etc.)

Go one more month. You'll gain more muscle, slim down, and feel stronger... better... faster... (sorry for the six-million-dollar woman segueway),
but if then, you still aren't feeeeeeeeeeeling it (and trust me, I can't define "it"), then you can honestly hang up your spurs and say sayonara (mixing Toshio Mifune and the Duke here).

'Kay?

Mike, first thing - how's your dog?

Second, thanks for the "buck up little camper" speech. I think I'll be able to muddle through it, especially now that I have my fancy new shoes.

I'm still struggling a little bit trying to decide which workout plan is going to be best for me (working out at home vs. keeping my gym membership); they both have their advantages and disadvantages.
